The polyester staple fibre industry was adversely affected by the global slowdown with crisis aggravating in the second half of the year. About half a billion US$ were shaved off during the year at US$16.5 billion. Such drastic performance was unseen in the past 10 years. During 2008, capacity expanded by mere 1% while output and consumption declined 2.5% and 3% respectively. Only 158,000 tons of net capacity was added during the year, with Asia alone adding 590,000 tons. Other regions witnessed capacity derating.

Consumption of polyester staple fiber has been increasing at an annual growth rate of 6.2% between 1998 and 2008. In 2008, it declined sharply by 3% to 12 million tons. Asia, though account for 87% of global production consumed 76% of global supplies in 2008, thus becoming the major exporter of PSF. However, in recent years, domestic demand within Asian countries has seen a steep rise. In the past 8 years, consumption of PSF recorded an increase of 8% per annum as against less than 7.7% a year growth in production. Five years ago, 25% of Asia’s production was exported (including intra-region trade) and the same has come down to 17% in 2008.

Polyester filament yarn consumption reached 18.6 million tons increasing 0.1% in 2008. Of this, Asia alone consumed 17.3 million tons. Outside Asia, prominent consuming regions were Middle East and USA, together consuming 7% of global supplies with volumes at 0.74 million tons and 0.61 million tons respectively. Americas including south and Central, together consumed 6% or 1.1 million tons of PFY.

Register a business: protect yourself from trademark theft

Register a Business: Protect yourself From Trademark Theft

If being self-employed and answering to no one but yourself appeals to you, then you should definitely start your own business. However, you should always register it with the authorities. This is very important, as it will protect your corporate identity from getting duplicated. Let us suppose you have a company named Joe Schmoe Private Limited. You sell only high quality products to your clients at reasonable prices. But then, another company by the same name crops up and starts selling sub-standard stuff to clients. Your brand image will get affected for the other company. On the other hand, if you got your brand name registered, you could sue the other company and force them to cease and desist from defacing your good name in the market. So, how do you go about registering your company name and trademark? It’s not very complicated. Here’s how:

You can register a business name and trademark design at your nearest business registration offices approved by the Government in your country. You have to fill up a few forms and pay a certain amount of registration fees and your business will be registered. It usually takes only a few days. Approach your local business registration offices for details. If you are in doubt regarding the procedure, seek out a good business attorney. He/she will be able to explain things to you more clearly.

If you don’t have the money at hand to get your trademark registered, don’t despair. There is another way of making your trademark legally acceptable, albeit temporarily. Simply put your company logo and name in a sealed envelope, walk up to your nearest post office, and mail it to yourself. When the envelope arrives, it will have the sending date, stamps, etc. making it legally acceptable. As long as you keep the envelope in an unopened condition, it is sufficient as evidence to the registration offices. If you see your trademark is stolen by someone else, all you have to do is bring that envelope to the business registration office. The staff there will open the envelope and analyze the contents. This is called a “poor man’s copyright” system, but don’t expect this to last forever. As soon as you have enough money at hand, do register your trademark formally. That will protect your brand identity from being forged by someone else, forever.

No success without mlm training

No Success Without MLM Training

Do something for first time and chances are that you would fail miserably in the beginning if you don’t have someone to guide you and teach you what you need to know for performing that task. In building a multilevel marketing business the same thing holds true. Unless you get the MLM training that you need don’t expect to succeed that easily.

That kind of training, the new distributor can receive it mainly from two sources. One of them is the company that he joins and the other source is his sponsor, the person that introduced him to this business.

The multilevel marketing companies know that a big percentage from the distributors that are signing up with them are totally new to this industry with no experience, and often without a clue on how our business model operates. That’s why most of them have set up training programs in order to educate their members on the workings of the MLM industry and most importantly on how to market their opportunity and products to the general public. It may not be the most advanced and up to date knowledge that you may can get, but they cover very well the basics and everything a beginner would be needing.

Your sponsor is your personal coach and consultant that you can ask him whatever troubles you about this business. A part of your MLM training and the most important one you will get it from him. As he is probably working the opportunity for quite some time he has great experience on the subject of building a home based business in the field of network marketing. That experience that comes from working on the trenches, is invaluable and cannot be substituted by the company or anyone else. All this knowledge, as it is natural, would pass it to you, which is to his best interest. Your sponsor’s commissions depend on how successful you would become yourself, so he has nothing to gain by holding back something from you, but on the contrary a lot to lose.

Besides these two sources of MLM training, your next step would be to seek additional sources from where you can get knowledge relevant to your network marketing business needs. Whether in the form of books, online courses, or seminars, your education should never stop. There is not a point that you can reach and let yourself rest there. Sooner or later new ways and methods of doing business would make their appearance and if you don’t embrace them and start using them you would be left behind by the competition.

Succeeding in this industry without proper MLM training is almost impossible unless you want to go through years of error and trial all alone while spending countless sums of money in the process. It is vital if you want to become successful to follow all the knowledge that the company and your sponsor would offer to you and move further to learn even more.

As they say education is an ongoing process that never ends and you have to follow that path if you really want to reach your goals. Successful people never stop learning that’s why the always stay ahead of the curve and do the things that work at that certain point at time. If you want to become like them you need to follow their example and make learning your habit.
